Brownie Bakery in Washington

Im 34, and my entire life I have enjoyed Brownie Bakery. It's desserts have a unique taste that to me, is addictive. Highly recommend this bakery for anyone!

Showcase cakes are the best you've ever had. Stop by and get 2 or 3. Gingerbread boy cookies are to die for too!

Horrible...Stale...Overpriced...and the man that ran the place was the rudest man I think I have ever met...certainly not someplace I would take a loved one

Ordered a birthday cake for myself and picked it up yesterday.. it is absolutely fabulous the best cake I've ever eaten.. beautiful beautifully decorated, nice thick layers very nice... and by the way don't listen to the reviews about the guy not being nice because he was very nice, very helpful and a very kind person.. great food ..you won't be disappointed ..give him a try... don't listen to the ugly reviews and not go

I called them numerous times with no answer. After checking out their website, I drove out to discover they were closed on Monday through Facebook. Today, I stopped by to get a price for a very large order of doughnuts only to be insulted by the owner in a very rude and unprofessional manner. It was so bad I walked out while trying to order. I will not be back and Brownie Bakery will not receive a penny from this guy! I suggest Rachel K Bakery. The ladies are super helpful and kind to their customers unlike the rude owners of Brownie Bakery!

Brownie Bakery has the best pastries and the best coffee in town. The recipes have a very authentic European taste. The owner is funny and caring, and a little sarcastic, but not in a bad way, more like in a funny way. Great Job Brownie Bakery!!!

Great local bakery. Very traditional Italian taste to many classics. Superb coffee as well.

The doughnuts are overpriced and not that good. Also, the owner I assume acted like a jerk & stated he had the best coffee. His "Costa Rica" coffee was stale & had no flavor. I highly recommend avoiding this place, so many better places in Washington. Honestly, I would choose a gas station with Duncan doughnuts to go over this place. Possibly the worst coffee experience of my life!

It's totally different and not in a good way, than what it was. Yes the manager/owner is terrible. The hours are so erradic, it seems to be closed most of the time during NC breakfast time. The two stars are because the quality of food is great. NOT the prices. They should take a few lessons from the LITTLE RED CABOOSE downtown.

Overpriced, rude service , not really a good place to get donuts or pastries...kinda bland...especially to be way above average prices.

The owner needs a lesson on common courtesy. After trying months to try this place out and being disappointed every single time they were closed, I finally managed to drive by while they were open. The food is not bad, it has a home made taste that some people really like. The owner who serves it however made the experience mediocre at best. Hearing him lecture me on how I need to communicate and going about it in a very rude way has guaranteed he never gets me back as a customer.

When I was young, I had a paper route, we delivered them at 4 am. All the kids would meet at the bakery. Great donuts, Apple frtters,cold milk, and coffee. Brownies is just like that bakery. Old fashioned real bake goods. Done right! Thank you.

This is a nice local bakery and coffee shop. They have a small seating area, but there is one important thing missing. They need to provide WiFi so people, like me, can get some work done with their coffee. There are very few places to find coffee and WiFi in Washington - but those places are busy. I kept moving down the road because I had work to do today. However, I would have stayed here if they had WiFi.

From when I was little and my mom would take us here Friday mornings before school to now I am 25 living in Florida, this will always be my favorite bakery. The owner is always so friendly and I have never had anything less than amazing.

The donuts are very good, just as they were 35 years ago or more. Yeah he's got the most expensive donuts east of California and west of Bermuda, don't mind the price as much as his nasty attitude. It seems like he gets mad when you walk in the door. And for that go for the donuts and try not to pay much mind to that grumpy old goat because sometimes when the planets, moons, stars are in alignment and he's sees a woman he likes he's happy and he really does smile. I know you don't believe me, I've only seen him smile 3 times in the past 10 years

The owner is rude. I mean, VERY RUDE. And the food was dry. Been there 3 times, not sure why but I promise I'll never be back.

Prices are high, everything is delicious!

Been there since I was a kid and I love the cake squares and the cake slice and the owner was always nice to me but i can tell he equally offends but i will go there for as long as its open
